South African soccer player and Olympian Luke Fleurs has been killed in a hijacking in Johannesburg, the Kaizer Chiefs club said on April 4. The 24-year-old, who was born in Cape Town in 2000, represented South Africa at the Tokyo Olympics in 2021.
