The Tony Award-winning actress has passed away per NBC News. Chita Rivera also had leading roles in ‘Chicago,’ ‘Kiss of the Spiderwoman,’ ‘Bye Bye Birdie,’ and ‘Nine.’ She was the first Latina woman to receive a Kennedy Center Honor and was given the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2009 by then-President Barack Obama.
