At least 36 people were injured, and 20 were taken to emergency rooms after a Hawaiian Airlines flight from Phoenix to Honolulu hit severe turbulence 30 minutes before landing. Honolulu Emergency Medical Services reported 11 patients were in serious condition with severe head injuries, lacerations, bruising, and loss of consciousness. Hawaiian Airlines tweeted, “Medical care was provided to several guests & crew members at the airport for minor injuries while some were swiftly transported to local hospitals for further care.” We wish all of those injured a speedy recovery.
